As the times change, we’ll change with them! The first trip each season has historically been a bus trip but in 2022 it made more sense to take advantage of low airfare and free bags (skis!) on Southwest. We had a great travel day to Montrose and enjoyed very comfortable lodging at Mountain Lodge Telluride to be well rested for our first full day of skiing. The temperatures were well below normal so it was a cold first morning but for early season skiing, the conditions were great. As the weekend went on, more trails opened. Telluride is off the beaten path so even on a perfect blue-sky Saturday we had no lift lines.
We welcomed many first timers with OKC on this trip. We had a wine and cheese party one night to help everyone get acquainted with one another. Another evening, other members hosted a cabin party. This group definitely knows how to socialize!
Early season trips can be hit or miss but this one was definitely a hit! Where will we take you in December 2023? Stay tuned! It will be my 50th birthday trip so you won’t want to miss the fun!
